LaManchas are a type of Dairy Goat that can come in any color or combination of colors. The Most notable feature is their short ears. Most LaMancha breeders will tell you they get a lot of poeople that ask why they cut their goat's ears off. We do not cut their ears, they are born that way. Some have shorter ears that are 1" - 2" in length, they are called elf ears. Others have even shorter ears, less than an inch to almost non-existant, these are called gopher ears. The only LaMancha bucks allowed to be registered by the American Dairy Goat Association are the ones with gopher ears. |
